The majority of the route is now snow free, however, two steep snow fields remain. Mountaineers should continue to carry an ice axe to safely ascend and descend the east face.

The trail is mostly snow free to the top of the Apex, from there the route is primarily snow covered. An axe, sturdy footwear, and crampons are necessary for a safe ascent and descent.
